Here are my top 10 tips.

1. Dress to Impress (and Coordinate!): Before the big day, lay out everyone's outfits on the bed and take a peek. Make sure they all harmonise together. Try not to be too matchy-matchy, think complimentary rather than the same. And don't forget to have them clean, ironed, and ready on hangers the night before, this will make the day of your photo shoot less stressful.

2. Accessorise: Want to kick it up a notch? Add some bling, hats, cool shoes, jackets, and props to add that extra flair to your outfits.

3. Pamper Session: Treat yourselves to a little pampering the night before – get your hair washed, have your nails done and relax with a face mask.

4. Hair & Makeup Time: Whether you're a DIY expert or getting the professionals involved, make sure it's all done with enough time for you to arrive early, feeling relaxed, and ready to rock the camera.

5. Team Effort: Get the family involved in planning and chat about what they'd love to capture in a photo. The more involved and prepped they are, the more fun they'll have. It's all about creating fabulous family memories alongside those beautiful photos.

6. Fill Those Bellies: Hungry tummies aren't the happiest. Make sure everyone's had a good meal before the shoot. Smiles come easier when you're not hangry!

7. Furry Friends? I’ve Got 'Em Covered: If your four-legged family members are joining, remember to bring treats and water for them & a lead to tie them up when they’re tired.

8. Sweet Dreams: A good night's sleep will have you looking and feeling your best. So, tuck in early for those beauty ZZZs.

9. The Ultimate Accessory: Your Smile! Lastly, don't forget to bring your most fantastic accessory - your beautiful, genuine smile.

10. Arrive Early: To ensure you're all set and don't feel rushed or flustered before your shoot, aim to arrive about 5 to 10 minutes early. This gives you a chance to soak in the atmosphere and take a leisurely stroll around before we dive headfirst into the fun-filled photoshoot.

Let's Talk Wardrobe - What To Wear

Choosing what to wear for your family photoshoot might seem like a puzzle, but I promise it's way more fun than you'd think! When it comes to picking outfits for your family photoshoot, I've got a pro tip to make life a breeze. Choose one person to be the trendsetter and pick their outfit first. Whether it's someone celebrating a milestone or simply the fabulous mum of the crew, they'll set the tone. Once you've got that initial look locked in, it's a cinch to coordinate the rest of your family around it. Need a little inspiration?

Capturing Your Best Smile: Easy-Peasy Tips!

Okay, let's get real—most of us aren't professional models or Instagram selfie kings and queens. So, it's perfectly normal to feel a tad camera-shy. But fear not! Here are seven of my top tips to help you relax, flash those genuine smiles, and rock your family photos:

say cheese

1. Happy Thoughts, Happy Faces: The secret to a natural smile? Think happy thoughts! Imagine your dream holiday, your favorite meal, or the cutest animals you've ever seen. It's like a happiness switch, and it never fails.

2. Reset: If those nerves are creeping in, take a breather. Close your eyes, take some deep breaths, and then open them. You'll instantly feel calmer and more naturally radiant.

3. Loosen Up That Face: Nervousness can make us clench our jaw muscles. Combat it by pulling some funny faces and giving your facial muscles a little workout. The natural smile will pop up on its own.

4. Dad Jokes for the Win: They're so cheesy, they're guaranteed to crack you up or at least put a big grin on your face.

5. Embrace the Silly: Sometimes, it's all about letting loose and going a bit crazy. Try a goofy dance, sing a silly song, or strike some 'Zoolander' poses. The more fun you have, the less you'll focus on the camera.

6. Say "Money" (Not Cheese!): Ditch the "cheese" and go Hollywood style. Saying "money" creates the right lip movement for a natural smile. For the little ones, "pony" works like magic.

7. Practice Makes Perfect: Stand in front of the mirror and give these techniques a whirl. Find what tickles your funny bone and brings out your best smile.
