This year has been a tough one for so many, and the wedding industry has really been hit hard. Covid has taught me to go with the flow and just ride the wave of the unknown. My role this year, as well as being a wedding photographer was to be an ear to listen and a shoulder to cry on as my couples had to face difficult decisions on whether to cancel, postponed or downsize their weddings.⁠

I love my job, and winning this award means the world to me and gives me the drive to always do my best. ⁠
I’d like to shout out a HUGE congratulations to all the other amazing winners and finalists. We are so lucky on the Sunshine Coast to have such a high standard of professionals in the wedding industry.⁠

I don’t normally enter awards and I think that’s why I like Bride’s Choice Awards so much, because you don’t enter, brides & grooms vote for you. It’s such a buzz and honour to be recognised for all the hard work we as wedding professionals put into each and every one of our weddings and to have our couples acknowledge this is amazing!

The Brides Choice Awards is a platform designed to recognise wedding businesses from around Regional Australia that have excelled and or exceeded a couple’s expectation in the planning of their wedding, and this is my aim for all of my couples.

Choosing a wedding photographer can be difficult.  There are so many talented photographers on the Sunshine Coast to choose from.  Here’s a few of my tips to find the right wedding photographer for you.

1.       I highly recommend to all my couples enquiring, is to make sure you and your wedding photographer click.  You want to feel comfortable with them, after all, you’ll be spending a lot of time with them on your wedding day. 

2. It’s also important to find someone who is reliable, uses professional equipment, and someone who’s calm under pressure.   Hiring a professional wedding photographer is a lot different than getting your uncle or best friend who has a new camera, look after you on your wedding day.  A wedding photographer is much more than someone who takes beautiful photos.

2. Take the time to read reviews and looking through their portfolios, this will help you find the perfect photographer to suit your needs & personality.

4. Make sure your photographer isn’t just showing you their best work, but also ask to see a full gallery from a recent wedding and not just a beautiful styled shoot.
