GET YOUR PHOTOS PRINTED
It only makes sense, if you hired a professional photographer, you should get your images printed professionally.
I’m a big believer in having a tangible product after a photo shoot. Whether it be your much anticipated wedding, the arrival of your beautiful baby, or updating your precious family photos.
In today’s internet driven world, we see photos shared everywhere on our digital devices. For the past decade, viewing or sharing an image is always only an arms’ length away. When our photos are so easily accessible it’s hard to find a good reason to print them. I think you should get something real out of the virtual world.
How many times do you just collect photos on your digital device without ever looking at them again?
Over the years we’ve seen your images move from prints from film to being stored on Floppy Disks, to CD’s, then on to larger DVD’s, USB’s and now online galleries. Your photos exist in the form of bytes and bits, only a hard drive failure or accidental delete key away from oblivion.
Once you get a digital image printed, you just created something tangible out of thin air. That moment in time that existed only in the digital memory of your device can now be touched and held in your hands and cherished for years to come.
With the everchanging landscape, lots of file formats will become unreadable in the future. Someday a jpg might not be accessible because the format becomes obsolete and we don’t have devices that recognise it. Does your computer have a CD/DVD reader anymore? Most new Apple computers don’t even have regular USB ports.
When we look at our family’s old albums and shoeboxes full of prints, we know prints are proven to last.
This is why I encourage you to get your photos printed. I have found an amazing Australia-owned professional photography lab that caters to the retail public as well.
